Australia have stolen an amasing win against England in the final half hour of the second test, after dismissing England for 129 in their second innings.
Warne and Lee were the big wicket takers destroying England today. The win gives Australia a two nil position for the best of five series.
Australia got the runs with Hussey scoring a half century to win at 4/168.
England were in a seemingly impregnable position after declaring at 6/551 for their first innings.
England need to win at least two of the next three tests to retain the Ashes, assuming a draw in the final test.
"There's a long way to go but we've made a good start," Australian captain Ricky Ponting said.
"We were forced to work hard after the first couple of days of this game. To be able to turn this game around and get into a winning position today has been an amazing effort."
England counterpart Andrew Flintoff said his team paid the ultimate price for one poor session.
"We've played a lot of good cricket in this Test match apart from an hour today when we let it slip, and it just shows it can cost you," he said.
"You have a bad hour and you are out of the Test match. That's exactly what's happened today."
Shane Warne bowled 27 overs unchanged capturing 4 for 49, including 11 maidens.
"This is a sensational win for us from a great team," Warne said. "To go 2-0 up was a great effort by all the guys. They all did their bit when they needed to.
"I think the belief was there deep down that we could cause a huge upset, but it was going to have to be a miracle sort of win.
"This is probably the best Test match I've played [in], 140 odd Tests, it's definitely the best Test match I've played in."
Flintoff now cases a huge psychological challenge of gettign his team up for the Perth Test.
"It's a big challenge for us now - we're two behind in an Ashes series with three to play, but we can't mope around too much," said Flintoff. "It's going to hurt, this game, but we've got just over a week until the next one.
"Personally, I don't want to feel like this again so there's a big incentive for us. The side are disappointed. They are a proud team and they want to do well in this series and over the next few days I'm sure we'll talk about his game amongst ourselves and discuss where we went wrong.
"We've got to be big enough now to bounce back and face what's in front of us."
